Hi there! I'm an Assistant Professor in Computer Science at VU Amsterdam and founder of the Analogue Intelligence Lab and Sports Intelligence Lab.

My research focuses on end-user programming, domain-specific languages, and software environments for creative computing. My work sits at the intersection of Software Engineering and Human-Computer Interaction—building interactive systems, live-coding tools, and programming abstractions that empower people (from researchers to artists and educators) to build and express ideas through code.

My research interests include:

  • Software engineering
  • Software evolution & maintenance
  • Creative computing
  • Sports analytics and data science
  • Software language engineering
  • Domain-specific languages

I'm also a guest researcher at SET group at TU/e and SWAT group at CWI.

Whether you're a fellow researcher, a student with a question, or just someone curious about my work, feel free to reach out and connect! ⚽️🎾

Analogue Intelligence Lab

I started the Analogue Intelligence Lab together with motidavted students where we explore the space between physical/analog human creative workflows and digital/computational systems. Check out our website (in development) to learn more about our projects and publications.

Research Pillars

Tools & Environments for Creative Expression & Interaction

Designing programming tools and environments that support artists, musicians, and creative coders through their exploratory process.

Domain-Specific Languages & Language Engineering

Building language-parametric infrastructure that lets language designers generate notebooks, block-based editors, and other interfaces from a single grammar.
